Years ago I was lucky enough to attend a talk given by the VhaVenda poet Tenda Ratishitanga. It was during the turmoils of the earlier 1980s, when the townships and parts of the countryside were aflame. I was entirely ignorant of VhaVenda poetry then as now. Such as I know of it entered my life
